Yes! This. Is. Happening. Tomorrow!
My company is pretty awesome! A few weeks ago I share about our team meeting up on the side of a mountain (well, team building exercise but it sounds better the other way). 🙂
And now a group of us from IT is being sponsored by my company for the first ever, world-record setting Mud Run up at Snowbird – one of the famous ski resorts here in Utah!
Why is it world-record setting? This MudRun boasts of the “Longest Slip ‘n’ Slide in the world”! Which means I’ll be traveling down almost a whole mile on a slip ‘n slide – hoping that I don’t break anything on the way down. LOL! After that is a 5.5 mile run down a 3,000 vertical feet descent with over 15 never-seen-before obstacles, over 1500 tons of mud and an amazing party the whole way down! They are promising a dance party on yet another ski lift that we’ll be riding up.
And yes – I’m planning to PARTY!
I’ll be honest, I’m a bit shocked that I signed up for this. As a germ-o-phobe and someone that doesn’t necessarily like to get dirty, this is a definite challenge and stretch for me. But my excitement is building. Even with our wave starting at 8:20 in the morning (have to be there 90 minutes early on top of that) with a probable 50 degree temperature, I’ll be out there is the necessary attire – crazy shorts and shirt ready to get as muddy and wet as I possibly can.
And I won’t have much choice at the end with the cold spray-down they are promising.
And I’ll be wearing my GoPro HERO the whole time. Can’t wait to share a few short videos and clips of the whole thing. And don’t you worry…I’ll be coming down this finish-line slide just as crazy and as fast as I can.
See you after the after-party! 🙂
